Denise has over twenty one years experience providing business valuation services, gift and estate tax planning, and gift and estate tax compliance services to clients on a national basis. Prior to joining Southern Wealth Management she spent 14 years at Ernst & Young where her responsibilities included leading a national business valuation practice for individual tax-related transfers and serving as a national reviewer of gift and estate tax return filings. She continues to lead the business valuation practice at Southern Wealth Management as well as assist in various consulting services. During her career, Denise has worked on valuation projects for numerous investment holding companies, as well as manufacturing, real estate, hospitality, and retail companies. She has also performed analyses of restricted securities and stock options for corporate executives. Denise has a BBA from Baylor University with majors in finance and financial planning and a Masters Degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas in San Antonio. She also holds the following certifications: Certified Public Accountant, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM certification, Accredited Senior Appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers, and both a PFS and ABV with the AICPA.
