Danny attended top-ranked University of Texas at Austin earning a bachelor of business administration and a master of professional accounting in 1994.

He began his career at a large international accounting firm where he gained experience performing work for both privately held and public companies in a broad range of industries including manufacturing and distribution, retail, real estate, hospitality, warehousing and logistics. From there, he was recruited by a privately held, family-owned manufacturing enterprise in Dallas, Texas where he enjoyed a successful career as Chief Financial Officer for 17 years, opening several international locations including in China and Mexico.

Danny moved to Illinois to be closer to family in Chicago, and in 2019, joined Burton Partners. He currently holds a certified public accounting license in Texas.

Shawn began his accounting career in 1992 in public accounting. He specializes in tax and financial planning for individuals and small businesses. Shawn is a certified public accountant and a graduate of Bradley University with a bachelor of science in accounting.

He is a member of the Illinois CPA Society and various community groups.

In his spare time he enjoys coaching his kids in whatever sport they are participating.

Vel has been with Burton Partners since 2016.  She specializes in compilations, partnership, corporate and individual taxation. Prior to joining Burton Partners, Vel has over 15 years' experience working for several private and public companies. She embraces new challenges as she continues her learning in the industry and looks to use this passion to build new and lasting client relationships.

She earned her bachelor's of science in accounting from DeVry University and her masters in accounting and financial management from Keller Graduate School of Management.

Outside of work Vel, enjoys reading a book or taking long walks with her husband in Riverwalk or Millennium Park.

Ed is a staff accountant and has been with the firm since July of 2007.  He has experience in small business accounting, bookkeeping, and taxation. He earned his bachelor of science degree in environmental health in May of 1993 from Illinois State University.

Ed studied accounting and taxation at Harper Community College and Northern Illinois University, and has been a certified public accountant since 2006.
