We are looking for an experienced full-charge bookkeeper/accountant with CPA firm experience to join our growing team. If you meet the minimum requirements, please submit your resume.

What you will do:
Perform accounting services for several different clients of varying size and industry.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • • Creating and reviewing financial statements
  • • Verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable
  • • Reconciling account balances and bank statements
  • • Maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures
  • • Advising clients on loan compliance with financial institutions
  • • Processing and reporting payroll
  • • Recording and managing inventory records
  • • Supporting month-end and year end close processes
  • • Calculating and filing NM gross receipts taxes
  • • Performing insurance audits
  • • Answering client questions & making recommendations for improved efficiency
  • • Ensuring compliance with GAAP principles
  • • Partnering with Accounting Supervisor to improve procedures
  • • Performing detailed and accurate work in compliance with internal processes
  • • Performing work with the utmost integrity in compliance with the AICPA Code of Ethics and IRS Circular 230
  • • Performing other tasks as assigned by management


What you need:
 
  • • 2 year degree or equivalent experience
  • • 5 - 10 years full charge bookkeeping experience, preferably multi-industry experience
  • • Previous CPA firm experience preferred
  • • Expert knowledge and experience of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • • Excellent knowledge and experience utilizing QuickBooks, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • • General knowledge of income taxes preferred
  • • Ability to travel to assigned clients' place of business to perform job responsibilities
  • • Ability to work with multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear, concise and professional manner
  • • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • • Ability to build client relationships
  • • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take to new tasks with high level of difficulty
  • • Strong analytical, problem solving and follow up skills
  • • Maintain a current insurable driver’s license
