Tax Services--Income tax return preparation; tax research and planning; and sales and property tax reporting

Duties and responsibilities include (all positions except admin): 
  • Serve clients in the construction, professional service, manufacturing, restaurants, retail, and wholesale industries 
  • Work closely with client's controllers and accounting staff in connection with providing client services
  • Assist in providing business consulting services in the areas of tax planning, financial forecasting, business valuations, financial statement analysis, and succession planning
  • Review accounting records of closely held businesses and make adjustments as necessary
  • Compile and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Assist in the preliminary preparation of federal and state income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals

Administative Position 

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant who is a strong self-starter to perform office support to three small companies: a CPA firm, a Bookkeeping firm, and a business brokerage firm. 

Duties of the Administrative Assistant include many and varying daily office tasks. You will report directly to the Owner and the Office Manager. The ideal person has a creative streak, is incredibly organized, is able to and enjoys multitasking, and is a generally positive person.
 
Ultimately, a successful Administrative Assistant should ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our office.
 
Responsibilities
  • Answer and direct phone calls for two companies (the third company manages their own calls)
  • Organize and schedule appointments and meetings for all three companies
  • Setup new clients and perform new client onboarding
  • Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Update and maintain the electronic filing system and office procedures
  • Order office supplies and research new deals and suppliers
  • Assist in maintaining contact lists & client information database
  • Book travel arrangements a few times a year for remote staff
  • Plan, organize and execute company functions and parties
  • Maintain the staff birthday calendar & send gifts to staff, clients and business affiliates for various reasons. This requires a person with the ability to be creative.
  • Assist in preparation & delivery of critical, time-sensitive, and confidential documents to clients and to tax-filing agencies
  • Manage & update social media
  • Design company collateral such as invites, flyers and brochures
  • Assist with printing and compiling company reporting
  • Assist the various departments with some client work and communication
  • Assist in tracking client projects
  • Make daily check deposits
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the common areas of the office, i.e. the kitchen and conference rooms
  • Provide general support to visitors
 
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an office assistant
  • A person who is able and willing to be in-office full-time.
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
  • Proficiency in MS Office & Adobe (MS Excel, in particular)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work and self-start
  • Attention to detail 
  • Solid problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

Senior Accountants & Managers

We are seeking dedicated, highly motivated team players to lead tax and accounting engagements for closely held businesses and business owners.

 
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review corporate, partnership and individual tax returns
  • Research complex tax issues and develop and implement tax planning strategies
  • Provide business consulting services including financial forecasting, business valuation, financial statement preparation & analysis and succession planning for clients mainly in the construction, manufacturing, retail, wholesale, restaurant, and professional services industries
  • Identify and maintain new procedures and processes to help the firm and staff reach their goals
  • Manager-level candidates with supervise, mentor, and develop staff
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 2+ years (Senior) and 5+ years (Manager) recent public accounting experience encompassing progressive scope and responsibilities
  • CPA license or CPA eligible
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical, organizational & PC skills including Microsoft Office, QuickBooks and accounting & tax software proficiency (Thomson Reuters software proficiency is a plus)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with staff and clients
