TAX MANAGER

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Tax Manager to join our team. The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the tax preparation and planning services for our clients.  Other key responsibilities include the following: 

Responsibilities: 

• Plan, direct, and execute tax engagements in compliance with federal and state regulations
• Key areas of Individual Taxes, Trust, Gift and Estate Taxes
• Provide tax planning and consulting services to our clients
• Review and supervise the preparation of all tax returns
• Maintain a high level of tax knowledge and stay current with tax law changes
• Communicate with clients and co-workers in an effective and professional manner
• Assist in managing, mentoring, and training tax staff
• Maintain strong client relationships and build new ones 

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Active CPA license required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting
• Extensive tax knowledge in federal and state tax laws
• Strong supervisory and project management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to mutlitask and work independently

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• A minimum of 2-3 years public accounting experience
• An active Minnesota CPA license or working towards CPA license
• Experience working in public accounting and preparing IRS forms 1120, 1120S, 1065, 990 and 1040

• Client interaction, written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency using Financial and Tax software, Microsoft Office and QuickBooks software is preferred.

We are currently looking for a Seasonal Staff Accountant/Tax Preparer to join our firm for the upcoming tax season starting January 8, 2024 through April 15, 2024, minimum of 40 to 60 hours per week, depending on workload. We will be flexible with your schedule and you will be compensated on an hourly basis.

Work Schedule:  Monday through Saturday (Saturdays on need to need basis), Summer's off

2024 SUMMER INTERNSHIPS

We are currently looking for an intern to join our firm in the summer of May 14, 2024 through June 21, 2024, minimum of 16 and maximum of 24 hours per week. We will be flexible with your school schedule and will be compensated on an hourly basis. 

Work Schedule:  Will be determined at that time.

Job Description:  Assist with business and accounting functions including a 401K plan, non-profit audit, quarterly compilation, bookkeeping and market research.

Qualifications:  Accounting Major working on obtaining a Bachelor or Masters Degree, minimum GPA 3.0
