Meet Our Management Team

Lourdes M. Peters, CPA, CGMA, Chief Financial Officer

Lourdes has an extensive background in both public accounting and private industry. She has more than 30 years of progressive accounting and finance experience in multiple industries, during most of which time she has held CFO/Controller and management positions. Some of the industries she has worked in include non-profits, construction, real estate, and home building.

Lourdes is a long-time resident of Las Vegas. She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 1979. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Nevada Society of CPAs.

Angela Fry, CPA, Accounting Director

Angela is a Certified Public Accountant with over 20 years of experience. She was born and raised in Ohio. In the late 1980’s her family relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico where Angela graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Business Administration in travel and tourism as well as a Master of Business Administration in accounting. Early in her career, Angela worked for McGladrey & Pullen, LLP (currently known as RSM US, LLP) for 5 years where she gained experience in a wide range of industries before heading into the private sector. Angela was CFO of a local non-profit organization for 9 ½ years and most recently was the Director of Finance for Fremont Street Experience, LLC, a 5-city block entertainment venue in downtown Las Vegas.

She joined the Gerety & Associates team August 2022 as a Director. She serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for two local non-profit organizations, Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation and WISE (Women in Sports & Events). Additionally, she is a member at large for Financial Executives International and is a 2018 graduate of the Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Las Vegas program. Angela is an avid sports fan and has been a huge supporter of the Vegas Golden Knights since their inception. She also enjoys travelling, listening to music, and staying active by running half marathons and weight lifting.

David K. Holmes, CPA, Attorney at Law, Tax Director

David Holmes is both a CPA and an Attorney at Law, with an emphasis in estate planning, transactional tax planning and business succession planning.  He has practiced as a Certified Public Account in public accounting firms for nearly 20 years and as a practicing attorney, as a sole practitioner and with firms, for 21 years.  He is licensed in Kansas and Maryland as both a CPA and as an attorney.

Prior to serving as a Tax Manager at Gerety & Associates, he was the Tax Principal at Santos, Postal & Company, P.C. (n/k/a PB Mares) in Rockville, MD, where he managed and supervised its tax planning, compliance, and litigation support requirements.  Before joining Santos, Postal, David practiced law in Wichita, Kansas, as a sole practitioner and for two law firms.  He also worked as the controller for one of the law firms. Previously a CPA with Deloitte and Touche, David received his Juris Doctorate from Washburn University of Topeka and his BS from Kansas State University, in Business Administration (Finance).

He is a frequent speaker on taxation and planning topics for both lay and professional audiences, and he is passionate about wine and soccer – serving as a regional certified soccer referee.

Adam Campbell, CPA, Tax Director

Adam joined Gerety & Associates, CPAs in February 2021. He has been working in public accounting for over 12 years and has wide-ranging experience with individual and business tax returns. He also specializes in nonprofit compliance and tax issues. He received his BSBA in Accounting from Hawaii Pacific University in May 2008.

Adam is new to the Las Vegas area after recently moving from Honolulu, Hawaii. He is excited to explore the area and meet new people. He enjoys being with friends and family. 

Jessica E. Porath, MSHRD, Human Resources Manager

Jessica joined Gerety & Associates, CPAs in August 2021. Before joining our team, she spent over 14 years in the hospitality/gaming industry as a Training/Human Resources Manager. She recently graduated from Villanova University with her Master of Science in Human Resources Development and will oversee day to day HR operations for the firm.

Originally from Kentucky, Jessica and her husband, Jon, moved to Las Vegas in 2015 on military orders and have called the city home ever since.   In her spare time, Jessica enjoys traveling with her husband, hiking and going on adventures with their standard poodles.

Vicki Linton, CPA, Bookkeeping Manager

Vicki Linton joined Gerety & Associates, CPAs in January of 2007. She is a native Las Vegan who began her career working for a local plastic surgeon while obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She started out as Gerety & Associates receptionist while applying for graduate school and was promoted to bookkeeper shortly after being hired. Once exposed to the accounting world, she decided to pursue accounting as a career. She enrolled in accounting classes and obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. She acquired her CPA license in January of 2015. She is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the Nevada Society of CPAs.

Vicki has two children and appreciates the support and encouragement Dan provides his staff, not only in terms of long-term professional growth, but home and work life balance as well.

David Hess, Enrolled Agent, Tax Manager

David joined Gerety & Associates, CPAs in November 2008, through a merger with Patricia Sanchez, P.C. He was with Patricia Sanchez, P.C. for six years, focusing on bookkeeping, client services, and individual tax preparation. David is a native of Las Vegas, and is active in his church. He also enjoys outdoor activities in his spare time. He became an Enrolled Agent in March 2020.

He enjoys spending time with his family and watching his little girl grow up.

Marcia Papa, Accounting Manager

Marcia Papa joined Gerety & Associates, CPAs in October 2017. She has been working in public accounting for the past fifteen years. Marcia has focused in auditing and accounting, preparing audits, reviews and compilations for a variety of industries. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in 2002 from UNLV and is now in the process of obtaining her CPA license.

Marcia is originally from Brazil but has made Las Vegas her home since 1989. Marcia has two children and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. The family environment and the emphasis on work/life balance is what attracted Marcia to Gerety & Associates, CPAs. Marcia is looking forward to an exciting career with Gerety & Associates, CPAs.

Gabriel Martinez, CPA, Tax Manager

Gabriel Martinez joined Gerety & Associates, CPAs in October of 2017. Originally from San Diego, Gabriel moved to Las Vegas in September of 2016 with his wife and daughter. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics with a minor in Accounting from UCSD in December of 2015. Gabriel became a Certified Public Accountant in November 2019.

Prior to joining Gerety & Associates, CPAs Gabriel worked as the Operations Manager for a check guarantee company in San Diego for over 10 years. Finding a balance between family and work was a major reason for joining the Gerety & Associates team. He enjoys being part of a firm that places such a high emphasis on customer satisfaction, while also providing a strong support network for its staff. Gabriel enjoys spending time with his family, exploring new areas of Las Vegas with his dog, and is an avid MMA fan.

Jeremiah Gerety, Tax Manager

Jeremiah Gerety rejoined Gerety & Associates, CPAs in November 2021 as a remote employee. He currently resides in Illinois. Jeremiah previously worked for Gerety & Associates, CPAs from October 2006 through June 2015. During his hiatus from the Firm, he worked at two other tax firms in Iowa and Illinois.

Jeremiah has extensive experience working on individual, trust and business tax returns. His primary focus is with trusts and estate returns. He received his Bachelor's degree from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa in 2001. He went on to receive his Master’s degree in accounting from the University of Phoenix in 2012.

Jeremiah is married, has three children, and two dogs. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading comic books, and collecting action figures. He is very excited to continue his career with Gerety & Associates, CPAs.

Laura Murphy, CPA, Tax Supervisor

Laura Murphy joined the Gerety team in January 2017 immediately after receiving her Master's Degree in Accounting from UNLV.  Having acquired her CPA license in March 2019, she is now a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the Nevada Society of CPAs. Before becoming an accountant, she owned and sold a digital imaging company with operations in over 20 countries.  She is also a California Registered Geologist with experience in environmental and engineering geology.  In her free time, Laura enjoys scuba diving, camping, gardening, participating in Toastmasters, and spending time with her husband and pets.
