Daniel T. Gerety, CPA, President

Dan formed his own accounting firm with a single principle in mind: to provide the highest level of personalized client service possible. Simply put, he cares about each and every one of his clients. His firm was established to provide efficient, expert solutions to businesses and individuals. The firm's primary services include accounting, taxation, and business consulting. His firm is dedicated to serving all of your accounting, tax, and financial services needs. Because of his vision, Dan assembled an excellent staff of like-minded people who share his commitment to friendly, quality service. The firm's continuing mission is to serve you by providing the highest level of expertise and professionalism possible.

Dan started his accounting career with McGladrey & Pullen, LLP in 1982 and became a tax partner with that firm before he left in 2004 to start his own firm. He was a lead specialist for McGladrey & Pullen, LLP and RSM McGladrey, Inc. in the estate and gift tax planning areas. He specializes in income and estate tax planning and representing taxpayers before the IRS.

Dan has spoken around the country on estate planning and asset protection. Because of the expertise he has developed in estate and gift tax planning, numerous attorneys and accountants have called upon him seeking his professional advice. He has served as an expert witness in estate and trust matters and has been appointed as Special Master to the court in Clark County, Nevada.

Dan is a native of Davenport, IA and graduated from St. Ambrose College with degrees in Accounting and Business. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants, and past president of both the Southern Nevada Estate Planning Council and the Central Illinois Estate Planning Council.

Irene M. Wandtke, CPA, Shareholder

Irene M. Wandtke is a certified public accountant with over 20 years of experience. Irene joined Gerety & Associates, CPAs in January 2007 after working with RSM McGladrey, Inc. for 5 years where she gained knowledge and experience in a variety of industries including construction and health care. Because of her close ties and working relationships with Dan and Cindy, Irene decided to join the dynamic team of professionals at Gerety & Associates, CPAs where she is dedicated to providing each client with the highest level of service. Irene has substantial experience in the accounting and income tax arena's (both individual and business) as well as dealing with IRS issues. 

Irene was named Top 100 Women of Influence by MYVEGAS magazine in 2019 and 2020.  She is a native of Santa Clara, California. She moved to Las Vegas in 1997 and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Irene is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Nevada Society of CPAs, the Southern Nevada Estate Planning Council.  She also serves on the board of directors for Nevada Community Foundation.
